Welcome to AZ Small Dog Rescue, a non profit registered 501(c)3 No Kill Rescue Group. We are a group of volunteers that have dedicated our lives to rescuing and saving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused small dogs. We accept owner surrenders of all breeds under 20 pounds at NO CHARGE when space is available. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, and medically examine ALL DOGS that come into… our rescue. We have many dogs turned in every week and always have a wide variety of available dogs that would fit into all families and homes. Please check out our available dogs page to see if there is a dog that you are interested in meeting. If you see a dog that you are interested in, read the bio and the location of the dog will be listed at either the shelter or foster home. If you do not see a dog that you are interested in, please check the available or coming soon albums daily as we take in dogs every day.

Volunteer

What is a Volunteer: Someone who gives of their time to fulfill a passion they love, admire, cherish and enjoy. Does this sound like you? Whether you live in the Phoenix area or out of town, any volunteering you can do fur us will be greatly… appreciated. Such opportunities are: volunteering at the shelter, transporting dogs to and from an adoption event, on occasion transporting dogs from one location to another, working at an adoption event. Monthly we need a transporter to pick up food in Tucson, so if you might be a traveler for business in that area, we could use you! Most of all in volunteering is Sharing: sharing our fb page, sharing our adoption events, special events when posted. We have several exciting events in the near future and volunteers are needed. If you have already come to the shelter and filled out a volunteer form, no need to fill out another. Please send an email to: volunteerazsdr@gmail.com and we will be in contact with you with an information packet about the shelter, the opportunities we have in volunteering and a volunteer release form. Our team thanks you fur wanting to volunteer and save dogs, one tail at a time.

Ricky is an amazing dog, he has come such a long way from the kill list last year, to finding out he had valley fever and his treatment. He is doing amazing and is healhty and happy and ready for a furever home, He loves to play with other dogs and loves children, he needs an active home with lots of love. ANOTHER LUCKY DOG AND HAPPY ADOPTER. THANKS FOR ADOPTING A DOG FROM AZSDR

I wanted to post a quick update. We adopted Harley (formerly Tonya) a few weeks ago. She is settling in to her new home perfectly! She loves to play with her… feline brother Jack and snuggles up with her k-9 brothers Tazz and Kasey. We are so happy to have her apart of our family!! Thank you AZSDR for all you do!!
