Dapper Dan came to us as a stray from Maricopa County as a grumpy old man, and while he’s still learning that the world can be a safe place, you can already see what a special dog he is.

Dan may need a little patience when meeting new people, but once he begins to feel comfortable, his sweet and silly personality really shines. He just needs a kind human willing to give him a little time to build trust and show him he’s finally home.

One thing that helps win Dan over quickly? Cheese — preferably cheddar. This handsome boy has excellent taste and will happily accept a little cheddar while getting to know you. He is also very laid back and will love tummy rubs all day.
