Remy is a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix with a big personality packed into a small body. He came to us as a transfer from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control after being found stray with several other dogs. Now that he’s safe and settling in, he’s ready to find a home of his own.

Remy does well with other dogs and may enjoy having a canine companion, though introductions and supervision are always important. He can sometimes resource guard things he values, like food or special items, so he’ll do best with a family that understands dog behavior and is willing to help him continue building good habits.

Remy is also a bit of an escape artist, so a secure yard and careful door management will be important to keep this little adventurer safe. Because of his quirks, a home with older children is preferred.
