Jakoda is an adorable 1.5 year old Border Terrier mix looking for his forever home! Jakoda was originally found as a stray with we assume his sister. They both had obviously not been socialized in their previous life, and it took a lot of trust on our end. But you would never know Jakoda was a very shy boy at one point! He does take a bit of patience with meeting new people, but it doesn’t take him long. He is highly food motivated, LOVES giving hugs, loves learning new tricks, and loves going for walks. It is unknown how he is with kids, but we feel he’d do best with older children such as teens. He has not done great with other dogs other than his sister and may be happiest as the only dog and center of attention in his forever home. He is kennel trained, and we believe house broken, but may need some reminders in his new home. Jakoda is so sweet, loyal, and playful once he warms up and is comfortable. He would do best in a home with a yard as he’s a big boy who loves to play in the yard. He walks well on a leash with a harness but does pull a bit. To meet Jakoda, please bring everyone in the home to our shelter location, 1102 W Hatcher Rd. Phoenix, AZ Open Tuesday-Sunday from 11am-6pm.
