What We Do To Save Lives
At Arizona Small Dog Rescue, we are dedicated to saving as many lives of homeless dogs in Arizona that we can, and this includes getting them the medical care they need from our partnered veterinarians throughout the Valley.
HOW WE HELP OUR ANIMALS:
- Microchipping
- Food and sheltering
- Partnerships with local vets
NEED ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE?
Arizona Small Dog Rescue takes care of animals from all walks of life! We genuinely care about every animal big and small and are happy to provide you with information and support in the event that we can’t help with something ourselves.
Many pets that are lost would be easily found and returned to their owners with microchipping! If your pets aren’t currently microchipped, we strongly recommend having this simple procedure performed just in case. To help reduce the number of stray and unwanted animals in Phoenix, we also offer and encourage spaying and neutering your pets.
Surrenders
At Arizona Small Dog Rescue, we accept small breed dogs from owners in need of surrendering their pet(s), regardless of age or medical condition. We will try to always help anyone in need of placement of their dog(s), but of course that depends on space and the needs of the dog(s). Every dog that comes into our care is evaluated, fully vetted, microchipped, and goes up for adoption to a pre-screened, best fit home.
Microchipping
Many pets that are lost would be easily found and returned to their owners with microchipping! If your pets aren’t currently microchipped, we strongly recommend having this simple procedure performed just in case. At Arizona Small Dog Rescue, we offer microchipping for $25 with free lifetime registration! It’s easy, fast, and quick! Please call our location if interested in getting your pet(s) microchipped!
Adoptions
Saving lives and finding the perfect families to pair them with is what we’re passionate about! We have dogs of all personalities, demeanors, ages, and breeds available for adoption weekly. Our adoption counselors and volunteers assist in finding the best fit new companion for each home, family, and lifestyle. Every dog is evaluated, fully vetted, and has a file of any and all medical, behavior, and educational information that goes home with them, as well as with a collar and tag, harness, and leash. We do our best to ensure it is a good fit, easy transition, and provide adoption follow up and support for each dog going into a new home.
Fostering
Have you thought about wanting to be a lifesaver? Fostering saves lives! We’re always looking for those interested in dog fostering to help us save as many dogs as possible. By participating in our dog foster program, you’ll be providing these precious animals with a home, shelter, and love while we locate the right forever home to pair them with. Letting them go can be sad, but the reward of helping save lives and knowing you helped prepare these little souls for the loving homes they deserve is worth it!
