Tatum may initially appear as a bit shy of strangers, but what a difference a day makes! This one-year-old girl is cuddly, playful, affectionate, smart as a whip, and eager to learn new tricks and behaviors. She is athletic, she would make an excellent running partner, but truthfully wouldn’t want to go sit at an outdoor cafe’. Too much movement and excitement for this herding breed mix! She is a great medium size, and she is house-trained and crate-trained.
Tatum thrives on doing puzzles and getting her meals from interactive toys, as well as playing in water. She is so smart and we know she could easily learn many fun new tricks. She knows her basic cues but wants to learn so much more. She does best with another dog in the home because she gains confidence from them. Tatum can be a bit worried about strangers and new things, but when allowed to choose to interact and sniff, or not, she can quickly come around and feel safe. She is not a social butterfly that loves everyone right away, so please have reasonable expectations. Toddlers and youngsters may be too much for her. When playtime and chew time are over, she loves to snuggle up next to you and take a well-deserved nap.
